Established in 1946, Southport Yacht Club’s purpose is to provide excellent facilities for those persons interested in boating and its associated activities, or simply wish to unwind from the daily grind in a unique, relaxed atmosphere. In addition to the award winning boating facilities, such as the 300 Super Yacht berth floating Marina and Slipway, Southport Yacht Club is privileged to be located on one of the most beautiful waterfronts on the Gold Coast. Southport Yacht Club Marina recently awarded 4.5 anchors in the internationally recognised Gold Anchor accreditation. The Marina facilities include; Marina security surveillance, Access to wireless Internet, Proximity card access, Sewage pump out, Onshore amenities, Laundry facilities, 15 to 125amp electricity, Telephone connections available, 24 hour fuel Jetty - Both diesel, premium and unleaded fuels are available at the new instillation which is operated by credit card.
Southport Yacht Club's Hardstand with a state-of-the-art 35m ton travel lift is located within the Club's Marina. Providing easy access to 20 hardstand places ranging in size from 20ft to 55ft. The specially designed timber cradle handles timber vessels up to 40ft.

The Hollywell Sailing Squadron is home base for dinghies, off-the-beach catamarans, trailable yachts, Etchells and the Sailing School, including a Waterfront Café and Bar to unwind after a day of sailing or simply to relax in a social atmosphere.
The sailing academy is responsible for a range of programs including learn to sail programs for children and adults, sailing camps for children, junior and youth training and high performance racing programs, stand up paddle boarding and wind surfing. While our junior and youth program has produced a wealth of talented sailors who perform well at national and international regattas, a great strength of the Southport Yacht Club program is that it offers a range of different opportunities to all levels of sailors.
In addition to our regular club racing Southport Yacht Club hosts a range of events throughout the year, from Offshore to Dinghies. Some events for this year include: The Annual Sail Paradise Offshore Regatta, Gold Coast Cat Week championships, The Great Race – long distance race for off-the-beach dinghies and catamarans from Gold Coast to Brisbane, Sydney to Gold Coast Yacht Race plus much more.
The Gold Coast Broadwater offers sheltered conditions and is the racing ground for short-course and twilight racing along with Power Boat Cruising and Navigation events while the waters off the Gold Coast Seaway offer superb offshore conditions with a great scenic backdrop for racers and cruisers alike.
